Chemistry
Four courses are needed to fulfill this requirement. At least one laboratory class in either inorganic or organic chemistry is required. 

At CMU, these courses are:

CHM 120 and 127; or CHM 131 and 132
CHM 342
CHM 421

General Chemistry
Survey of Chemistry (CHM 120)
Elementary concepts of chemistry on curricula needing minimal chemical background.

Introductory Chemistry Laboratory (CHM 127)
Elementary laboratory experiments which parallel syllabus in CHM 120.

Introduction to Chemistry I (CHM 131)
Fundamental concepts of chemistry.

Introduction to Chemistry II (CHM 132)
Continuation of CHM 131.

Organic Chemistry
Survey of Organic Chemistry (CHM 342)
Elementary course covering the entire field of organic chemistry. Course meets the needs for entrance to some professional schools.

Biochemistry
Survey of Biochemistry (CHM 421)
Introductory course in biochemistry emphasizing nutritional aspects.
