One course in statistics is required, preferably biostatistics. 

At CMU, this course is:

HPR 544 or BIO 500

Biostatistics (HPR 544)
Computation of vital statistics and other statistical methods applicable to problems in public health.

Biological Statistics (BIO 500)
The reduction and analysis of biological data in statistical terms.
