The Rural Telehealth and Community Education Network (RTCEN) is operated by Central Michigan University in collaboration with a growing base of community partners. Presently, the major network partners are: the twenty-six member Isabella County Health & Human Services Collaborative Council, six additional health care systems, the Michigan Health Council, Michigan Center for Rural Health, and the Clare and Gratiot County Collaborative Councils. This list of partners is expected to grow.

Central Michigan University is Michigan’s fifth largest university serving over 27,000 full-time students. As a public, regionally accredited, not-for-profit, Carnegie Doctoral/Research Intensive University, CMU offers undergraduate through doctoral degrees in over 150 academic fields, including the health professions. The activities of the RTCEN are consistent with CMU’s mission, which expresses a longstanding commitment to providing educational access, service and outreach across the state, the nation and globally to support education, learning and the advancement of knowledge in communities and among citizens, many of whom would not otherwise have access to higher education opportunities.
